Catherine stepped into the owlery and breathed deeply. Adolf would tear her to shreds for smelling like bird when she got back, but she really didn't care at that point. It was so breathtaking. Making a mental note to borrow a book on owls at some point she turned to go, but a familiar set of claws landed on her shoulder.
"Hey Duke."She said softly, relieving the dark screech owl of his package. "I think you're supposed to give this to me at brekky." Her nearly-uncle's owl gave a deprecating hoot, before ruffling his brown-black feathers and taking off. She shook her head, and some of the school owls hooted disapprovingly.
Catherine sighed before turning to go. Owls were beautiful, but she had Adolf. Nevertheless, that simple fact didn't stop the small Ravenclaw from giving a longing sigh as she left the creatures to their own devices.
