Theresa walked towards the lake while looking through her bag for her favourite muggle book. The only muggle book she actually liked. She loved how it showed how muggle's sorted things out without help from magic. She smiled when she finaly found it and sat at the edge of the lake. She put her bag down next to her and opened it to the page she last read, humming slightly as she listened to the water.

Shelby spotted Theresa and grinned to herself. It seemed like they ended up out by the lake a lot. She picked up a pebble and tossed it into the water just in front of Theresa, where it made the tiniest of splashes before sinking deeper into the lake. "Hey Resa," she said, sitting next to her friend. She looked at the book with interest while taking off her shoes to dangle her feet into the cold water. "What are you reading?"

Theresa looked up from her book when she heard a small splash. She was confused at first but smiled when she heard her friend. "Hi Shebly" she said, grinning at the girl before looking back at her book. "It's a muggle book called Jane Eyre, it's so sad" she said, she was up to the bit when her first real friend died, she knew it was silly but she always cried at that part.

Shelby remembered her mum talking about that book before. "I've never read it, but my mum likes it. Can I borrow it when you're finished?" There was nothing Shelby loved more than books, besides her family and some muggle movies. She dipped her feet into the water and smiled. She had been right about the temperature of the lake- cold, as always.

Theresa nodded "sure, I have read it like twelve times before, it's a good book" she said, giggling as she passed the book to her. "I will probably cry if I read the next chapter anyway" she said, grinning as she leaned back on the grass. "It's such a nice day, also I think everyone is a lot happier now that the points are all in the possitives" she said as she thought about the hour glasses.

"Thanks," Shelby said, taking the book and setting it to her side, far enough from the water so that if she accidentally hit it with her hand, it wouldn't slide into the lake. She considered asking why the next chapter would make Theresa cry, but decided not to. After all, she hated spoilers.

"I agree about the points. Things are looking up after all. And as far as I know, no points have been taken away since the Purge, so that means that people are actually trying to follow the rules. Probably because they're afraid to be the first one to start losing points again," Shelby said.

"Ye, I know I would, Alice would probably make me sing 'i'm a pretty puff puff' for double as long as the points if I did" she said, giggling madly at the idea. She had never had to do the punishment and she was planning on keeping it that way.

"That sounds terrible," Shelby giggled. "I'm just glad that I haven't had to wear the Stupid Hat. That would be so embarrassing!" Shelby shuddered at the thought of having to sit in the Corner of Shame and wear the Stupid Hat. "I honestly can't think of a worse punishment for such a typical Ravenclaw like me than having to declare stupidity."

Theresa snorted "that terrible to admit that you are as dumb as the rest of us commoners huh?" she asked teasingly. "I am surprised about how many points the Ravenclaws actually have, not in a bad way though, it's impressive to be last by a lot to third place, close to second in such a short time, no one can beat us badgers though" she said, giggling.

"Commoners, huh? My dad always did say that I'm a princess!" Shelby laughed, thinking about the crown that she had at home from her Halloween costume the previous year. "I wish I would have brought my crown with me," she giggled. "I wonder if my dad would send it to me..."

Theresa grinned "that would be too funny, I could just imagine people's reactions to your highness" she teased, poking her lightly in the arm. "Just don't go making any decrease otherwise, I will be hiding from you" she said, lip twitching as she crossed her arms and pretended to huff.

Shelby cleared her throat and put on her most royal sounding voice. "I, Princess Shelby, officially declare that the House of Awesome exists. The first people who I am officially inducting into this house are Lady Theresa Cotgrave, Lady Lauren Potter, and Lady Hilary Ayres," she held back her giggles and continued. "I also declare that every Tuesday is Ice Cream for dinner day!" she managed to say before she burst out into laughter.

Theresa laughed as she rolled on the grass. "Yea the house of awesome which would of course win the house points for just being awesome" she said, raising her hands in the air, giggling madly. "Go Princess Shelby Thomas" she joked, pretending to curtsy before she broke down with laughter again.

"But of course, Lady Theresa," Shelby curtseyed back.

"Well, that and there would be no way for members of the House of Awesome to lose points, since there are no rules for us," Shelby laughed. "Rules are for the ordinary students, not for members of the Court of the House of Awesome!"

Shelby laid back on the grass and giggled. "I'm so glad that you, me, Hilary, and Lauren are friends," she said. "This place would be much more lonely without you guys."

Theresa giggled "Yep the court and there awesomeness" she said, she clossed her eyes as she tried to calm down. She nodded "ye, I would be so bored if I didn't have you three as friends, there's always something new everytime, even if it is something dangerous which it probably is when you and Lauren get ideas" she teased, giggling slightly.

Shelby laughed. "You're one to talk about me and Lauren having dangerous ideas," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes in an exaggerated way that made it clear she was joking. "Wasn't it you and Hilary who decided to look for the giant squid? Wasn't is you who dared Lauren to jump into the lake off that tree? The most dangerous idea I had was playing Quidditch in the Room of Requirement," she said. "And we didn't even end up playing."

Theresa stuck her tongue out "well anything sounds bad if you say it like that" she said childishly. "And I desided to go swiming, it was Hilary's idea to go after the squid so ha!" she said triumphantly. She thought for a amoment "Everyone is allowed to make one mistake, I didn't think she would do it" she said. "Well your quidditch idea almost killed me, I nearly fell off my broom, ok it wouldn't have killed me but it would have hurt" she said, trying to act hurt.

"I would have caught you before you got hurt," Shelby stuck out her tongue back at Theresa. "To be honest, I'm not surprised that Lauren went through with the door. I think it's her Gryffindor courage and stubbornness. I'm just glad that we didn't have to take her to the hospital wing. Although, am curious if there's a magical solution for cooties," she giggled.

Theresa giggled madly as she stood up "that would be amazing, they must have something or all the adults would have cooties, they are hiding something from us, I know it!" she said. "I am glad that she was ok too and no you wouldn't have caught me, I would have plumeted to my death" she said dramatically, raising her hands before falling back onto the grass, pretending to faint.

Hilary raced down to the lake, still overjoyed about the turn around they had had with the house points. She looked around, hoping to see some her friends floating around.

She was in luck. Not far from where they had gone swimming a few nights before, she spotted Theresa and Shelby relaxing.

"Hey!" she said, hoping she wasn't interrupting anything. "Mind if I join you?"

"Lady Hilary! So nice of you to join us!" Shelby said in her royal voice again, patting the ground next to her. "In case you haven't heard, I am Princess Shelby Thomas, and I have officially created the House of Awesome. Youself, Lady Theresa, and Lady Lauren are the first members of the Court of the House of Awesome that I have inducted," she said, giggling.

Hilary sat down in the spot that Shelby indicated, dropping her bag next to her. She giggled at what Shelby had just told her. House of Awesome? This could only be good.

"So, what exactly is the House of Awesome?" she asked, curiously. "Is it like the four houses Hogwarts already has?" She paused a moment. "Only far more awesome?"

Theresa giggled, kicking her legs. "The house of awesome is briliant" she said, remembering the colours and the designs. "I still think there is a conspirisy, the adults know how to stop the cooties yet they wont tell us because they want it for themselves so they can snog each other" she said, turning to Shelby, determind to get to the bottom of it.

"Of course Lady Hilary," Shelby giggled. "And you get to pick your own house colors and mascot. Mine are hot pink and silver and my mascot is a white tiger!"

Shelby looked at Theresa. "I don't know if there's a conspiracy. I mean, what if cooties don't even exist. I mean, Lizzie Bell kissed Nick Hale and she didn't get a cootie shot. I've talked to her since then and she hasn't seemed sick at all. What if the conspiracy is that cooties were invented by dads who didn't want their daughters going near any boys?!"

She got to pick her own colours and mascot? This was only getting better. She had only known about it for a few minutes, but she was already thinking that she might like the House of Awesome just a bit better than she did Ravenclaw.

Hilary looked between her friends after Shelby's last comment, trying to figure out if they were serious or not. Sure, they had been talking about cooties shots and stuff like that they day before, but her friends didn't think that cooties really existed. Did they?
