The Beanbag Pit Empty The Beanbag Pit

Post by Guest Wed 18 Aug 2010, 04:58

Shelby ran up to the Room of Requirement to get ready. She was going to surprise Resa, Hilary, and Lauren with a room even more awesome than the last. She walked past the empty stretch of wall where she knew the Room would appear. After two more passes, a heavy wooden door appeared.

She eased it open and looked inside in awe. It was different than the last, but even better in her opinion. It had hints of the previous room. Each corner was decorated similarly to how each girl had decorated her corner, although the beds had been replaced with comfortable looking couches.

When she spotted her corner, she smiled. It was still the exact shade of hot pink and silver, and a large stuffed white tiger sat on her pink couch.

She was glad to see that the special requests that her friends had made had been added to the room. Lauren hadn't asked for anything, but the trampoline that Hilary had asked for was located on the wall across from the door and there was a gigantic stuffed dragon in Resa's corner. Shelby was amused to see that the dragon was pink and was wearing a tutu, probably thanks to Resa telling them about Maximus.

Against another wall was a table that was fully stocked with art supplies. Shelby scowled at it, still not happy with her artistic abilities, but it would still be helpful for designing more tiaras for Elise to choose from.

The room's biggest feature was the same beanbag pit that had been in the last room, though the colors were slightly different. The previous rainbow of colors had been replaced by beanbags in their selected house colors.

Shelby was more than satisfied with how the room turned out. She happily settled down into a beanbag and waited for her friends to get her owl and show up to see the new room.

Hilary wandered up to the Room of Requirement, curious to see what their new clubhouse, of sorts, was going to look like.

When she entered the room, she loved what she saw. It was bright and colourful and full of all the things that they could possibly need. Shelby had even managed to get her trampoline in there.

She moved to join Shelby in the beanbag pit. She motioned to the giant, pink dragon in a tutu in one of the corners. "Resa might not be too happy about that," she said to her friend, with a smile, anticipating their other friend's reaction.

Shelby rolled her eyes but a wide grin spread across her face. "Resa told me that she wanted a giant stuffed dragon," she said, still smiling. "It's not my fault that it's pink and is wearing a tutu. She's the one who put the idea in my head by talking about Maximus."

She thought for a moment and a name placard bearing the title "Maximus" appeared on the wall above the dragon.

Theresa skipped up to the room of requirements after getting an owl from Shelby. She burst into the room and grinned at her friends in the pit "THE FUN HAS ARRIVED!" she shouted in a sing song voice. She looked around the room and narrowed her eyes when she saw the giant dragon that was ruined and the words 'Maximus'. She looked back to Hilary and Shelby and glared at her "I hate you both" she said.

Hilary started laughing at Resa's reaction to seeing her pink dragon reincarnated in the corner. It was just as good as she had hoped it out would. She hoped the Resa wouldn't get rid of it, because she felt it was a nice touch to the room.

"We love you too," she said to Resa, once she had stopped laughing enough to be able to speak.

"I hate you sooooo much!" she growled as she stormed over to them. "That thing better go" she said, annoyed as she jumped onto one of the bean bag chairs. "There is no way that thing is staying here" she said, crossing her arms as she leaned back and glared at her so called friends.

Shelby couldn't do anything at all except for laugh at Resa's reaction. Even if Resa really was mad at them, it was worth it just to see the look on her face.

"It's your own fault for telling us about Maximus," she said. "Don't worry though, we promise not to tell anyone else about him. The knowledge of his existence won't leave this room," she assured her friend.

"I still hate you" Theresa said as she narrowed her eyes further. "That thing looks horrid, cant it be red with bigger ears, sharper teeth and I donno' trying to breath fire or something?" she asked hopefully, that sounded so much nicer. She suddenly looked at both girls suspisiously "it better not leave this room, if anyone else finds out then I could be thought of as bloody girly" she said, disgusted with the idea.

Shelby got up from her spot in the beanbags and went over to the art table. She'd managed to salvage the two drawings that Indiana had done and the one that she'd done that hadn't turned out that badly. Still, only three designs was hardly a large enough selection for Elise.

She unscrewed the top on the silver paint, grabbed a brush and a piece of parchment, and began yet another design.

Theresa looked up when she noticed that Shelby had moved. "You still want to make the tiaras?" she asked in shock. She thought that Shelby hated the whole drawing thing. She hopped out of the pit and walked over to the table. She looked at the red paint and grinned, wondering how it would look, smeared all over 'Maximus the 2nd'.

"I have to," Shelby replied, dragging her gaze from the parchment up to Resa's face, only to see a disturbing grin on her friends face as she looked from the paint on the table to Maximus.

"Don't even think about it," she warned, knowing that Resa was thinking about destroying the poor dragon. "The room made him Resa-proof," she said. She was glad that she'd had the foresight to protect Maximus.

"Alright, seems like a pain to me" Theresa said, remembering everything Shelby was saying about hating it. She looked back at her friend when she mentioned some about the room making something 'Resa proof' and realised that she figured out about the dragon.

She pouted "no fair" she whined as she crossed her arms. Grinning again, she looked at Shelby. "What if you or Hilary 'tripped' while holding some paint?" she asked, doing her evil laugh in her head.

"It is a pain," Shelby replied, wrinkling her nose at the parchment. The tiara she was working on didn't look horrible, but it wasn't really anything special. She searched through the supplies on the table until she found a small tube of glitter. "I hate art, but I don't want Elise to only have three possibilities for her tiara."

She glared at Resa as she mentioned "tripping". "It wouldn't work," she said, sticking her tongue out, "Me and Hilary are both too smart for that. You won't be able to trip us."

Theresa grinned as she fained hurt. "Shelby! you actually think that I meant that I was going to try and trip you while you hold paint?" she asked, shocked as she raised her hand to her heart. "How could you think such a thing, I. am. insulted." she said, shaking her head.

"Yeah, sure. Whatever you say, Resa," Shelby rolled her eyes before looking back down at the tiara she was working on. She used the glitter to mark the spots where there would be diamonds if it was a real tiara. In her opinion, it actually didn't look half bad as she added spots of glitter here and there. "Why don't you come do one," she suggested to Resa. "Maybe it would take your mind off Maximus. Or you could draw yourself hexing Maximus into non-existence," she grinned down at the parchment.

Hilary shook her head, laughing at her two friends. She wasn't so sure what Resa was so upset about; she actually kind of liked the big pink dragon in the room.

She moved to join Shelby at the arts and crafts table, and pulled a piece of parchment towards her. She was undecided what she wanted to do yet. Maybe she would give making a crown another go.

Theresa grinned "sounds fun" she said as she grabbed some colours and began to draw herself, hexing stupid Hannibal the 2nd. She drew a little harder than needed but didn't care because it would be great. She would make sure that she hung it up on the wall in her corner, right next to the stupid girly dragon, no matter how bad her drawing skills were.

Shelby peeked over at Resa's drawing and was glad that it seemed that Resa was just as terrible at drawing as she was. "What is that supposed to be? A pygmy puff hugging the giant squid?" she asked jokingly, setting her glitter back on the table.

She got up to move her tiara painting to her pink couch to give it some time to dry before putting it with the other three. "What do you think?" she asked, holding it up to Hilary and Resa before she moved it to the couch.

Hilary glanced up at the crown that Shelby had just done, then down at her own work. She decided that Shelby's was much better. Maybe because it had more glitter...

"It looks really nice," she said, honestly. "How many are you going to make?"

She reached out and grabbed the glitter, adding some to her own work. Everything was better with more glitter, she decided.

Theresa stuck her tongue out at Shelby "not my fault I cant draw" she said. She looked at the crown "nice" she said before going back to her drawing. She was nearly stabbing at the parchment as she drew the maic marks that were comming out of her wand and at the stupid dragon.

Shelby sighed in relief that her latest attempt at a tiara seemed to get her friends' approval. She looked at it again, feeling almost proud of it, and hoped that Indiana and Elise would like it just as much as Hilary and Resa. She moved it to her couch and went back to the art table. "I think I'm going to do just one more," she said, finally responding to Hilary's question. "That way Elise has five choices. That should be enough, right?"

Theresa looked up from the parchment and nodded. "Yea' five should be plenty" she said. She thought three was a good enough choice really but didn't mention it because Shelby had already made five and seemed very happy with herself.
She smiled when she finished her drawing. "Ok Ms 'A pygmy puff hugging the giant squid', what do you think?" she asked as she held up the parchment.

Shelby giggled at the drawing and nearly fell out of her chair. "He looks just lovely," she said, taking several deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself. "Poor Maximus though. I don't understand why you hate him so much. Pink is a perfectly divine color for anything, even a dragon," she was still grinning, though she had managed to curb her laughter for the time being.

Theresa skipped to the room of requirements. She was glad that they had somewhere private to relax again. She burst into the room and glared at Maximus 2nd before skipping over to the pit. She put her bag down and took out a book from her bag. She leaned back and began to read.

Hilary wandered up the the Room of Requirement. It was strange: she actually had everything done before midnight. She had no idea how she had managed to pull it off, but she intended to spend the rest of her night relaxing.

When she entered the room, she noticed that Resa was already there. Sneaking up quietly behind her friend, she quickly jumped out in front of her, shouting, "Boo!"
