Theresa skipped to the pumpkin patch, she had just finished her Transfigurations and Defence Against the Dark Arts homework. Now, she was in some need of a break. She had a book in her bad that she was planning on reading. There were too many people by the lake so she thought she would go somewhere else. She sat down next to the pumpkins and took out the book, ignoring the Ravenclaw's warning. Her friends were not going to join her in her plan and it wasnt against any rules, at least, she thought it wasnt, she wasnt sure. She began to read and smiled as her kitten joined her.

Lauren skipped past the pumpkins on her way to the lake when she saw that her friend Resa was sitting amongst the pumpkins reading. She thought about scaring her, but decided against it.

Lauren skipped up to her, (she was skipping because she was happy) and jumped in front of Resa. "Hey you!" Lauren said grinning at her friend. "What's up? Did you get all of your homework done?"

Theresa stroked her cat as she read through the pages, she heard someone but ignored it, she figured that they must have just been passing. She did look up when she heard a voice, a very cheerfull voice. She grinned when she saw Lauren. She put her book down and looked back up at her friend. "Hi, nothing much, finaly got it all done" she said. She raised an eyebrow "so, what has got you so happy?" she asked.

Lauren smiled once more. "Oh, nothing. Can't a girl just be happy?" She asked her Hufflepuff friend as she looked around the pumpkin patch. "I've never been here before," she said. "Do you think Hagrid is home?" Lauren asked looking over at the little cottage. "Hmm... I may go and introduce myself at some stage. That seems like a nice thing to do."

Lauren bent down and patted the kitten, "I heard about Shelby telling Indiana about the coded notes. How is she doing?" Lauren asked aware that she had asked the girl multiple questions but it was like she was on a sugar rush, she was so happy.

Theresa laughed "a girl can be happy for no reason, you cant be" she teased. She looked over to Hagrid's hut "I don't think so, I have been here three times and neither time has he been here" she explained before thinking about her next question. "She was upset at first but she seems better now, still a little sad but she a lot better" she said, thinking about her questions and wondering if she had answered them all. "So once again but more clearly, what has got you in such a rush, you seem like you have had about thirty sugar sticks or something" she said, laughing as she watched her friend amusedly.

Lauren giggled, feeling like she needed to take a long walk around the lake, just to wear off this feeling. "That's good to hear that Shelby isn't upset anymore. I should have been there, but I had some things to do." Lauren said, thinking that that made her sound very suspicious.

"I don't know why I'm happy. I just am, I guess." Lauren said, patting the kitten under her chin and on her neck now.

Theresa raised an eyebrow "something is up, you are strangely happy" she said before grinning and turning slightly to face her friend. "Oh come on, you can tell me, I can keep secrets" she said, there was something obviously going on. It was probably what was making her so happy.

Lauren shook her head, laughing as she stood up and looked around, a smile wide on her face. "There's nothing, really!" Lauren said, looking at her curious friend. I suppose Theresa couldn't be blamed, Lauren thought. She was acting strange. "Really. I'm just happy. Oh, and you so can't keep secrets!" Lauren said, laughing.

Theresa laughed as she watched her, she was acting strange but she desided not to push it any further. If there was something then she was sure she would be told when she was ready. She was brought out of her thoughts by Lauren's last comment. She grinned as she looked up at her "I can too keep a secret, name one thing that I couldn't keep" she challanged as she tried not to laugh.

Lauren smirked, "Well.. I can't think about anything at the moment. But if you love gossip like me, you can't keep a secret from us for very long!" Lauren said, laughing. Theresa must be curious about why I'm so happy. Lauren thought as she sat down beside the girl. "I'm bored!" Lauren said. She often got bored easily, and needed something exciting to do.

Theresa couldn't help but laugh at her. "I do love gossiping but I have a lot of secrets that I have to keep" she said even though she only had like two, Lauren didn't need to know that. "If you are so bored, why don't you do something" she said, grinning before she looked back down at her book to read.

"Oh you're no fun!" Lauren said, suddenly very curious about the secrets the Resa was keeping. "Secrets, hey?" Lauren said, "Care to share?" She asked, knowing that she would demand a reason for her happiness in return. "It's okay. You probably won't share, anyway..." Lauren said, teasing.

"What to do, what to do..." Lauren said. "I hate being bored when there is so much to do. Perhaps I'll go and visit Madame Rosey... But now that I'm here... I may go and visit Hagrid. I'll be back in a few." Lauren said, as she got up and walked over to the door of the cottage, and knocked, hoping that the caretaker was home.

"Yeah right, your not fooling me that easily" Theresa said, she looked up when Lauren suddenly walked over to Hagrid's hut, saying something about seeing him. "And people say I'm crazy" she said, laughing. She wondered what was making her friend so happy and excited, it seemed like she couldn't stay still for one moment.

After what was about 20 minutes, Lauren walked out of the cottage, having met Hagrid. She was delighted that Resa was still sitting there. "You still here?" She said, taking a seat, once more.

"Hagrid's delightful! He laughed when I said my last name was Potter, and even asked if I was Harry's daughter. He said he reckoned that I might have been because I supposedly look a lot like Harry's mother, Lily. Isn't that funny?" Lauren asked, running her hand through her auburn hair. "He also said that he's been here at Hogwarts for over 50 years, can you believe that?!" Lauren said, "I can't imagine even being 50 years old!"

Theresa looked up from her book and laughed, something was making her excited. "Yes, I have been trying to read" she joked. "Well I supose with the hair, you do, I have only seen a few pictures of Lily Potter in some history books but yes" she said, looking thoughtfully at her. "50? wow, that is a long time" she said, she guessed that was easily possible, with Dumbledore teaching until he was way passed one hundred. "I cant imagine being 50 years old either and I don't plan to for a long, long time" she said, laughing as she clossed her book, there was no way she was going to be able to read any more of it.

"You think so?" Lauren asked, blushing. Lily was as famous as her son... Well, maybe not that much.

"You're not planning to live for a long time? What happens if you do? You can't plan how long you live... You just live. Of course, if you had the Philosopher's Stone, then maybe. But they destroyed that years ago." Lauren said, sighing. That would be an awesome stone to have.

"What were you trying to read, anyway?" Lauren asked knowing how it felt to be interrupted when trying to read.

Theresa grinned as she thought about it "ok, I suppose that I have to live that long if I do, I will just use as many potions and spells as I can to keep from looking and feeling old" she joked. She looked down at the book "Freshwater Beasts Volumes I-III, Black picked it out for me when he was helping me find the book that I left on one of the tables in the library" she said.

"Sounds interesting. Black picked it out, hey?" Lauren said, teasing her friend. "Well.. I should probably head up the the castle. I still have that dratted Astronomy essay to write. I probably should do that before I get snowed under with other homework! I'll see you around. Perhaps in the room of requirement, later on today?" Lauren asked.

(OOC: Bedtime for me! I have maths tomorrow... sigh!)

Theresa nodded "sounds great, and never postpone homework, I know that now, what a nightmare" she said, laughing as she stroked her cat. "Yeah, I will see you there later, good luck with the boring homework which I am glad I don't take" she said teasingly as she waved at her friend, grinning as she thought about how horrible it must be to do homework now.
(OOC: good luck with the exam!)

"Yo, Theresa," she said as she waved to a now leaving Lauren. "I brought a carving knife if you want to cut or carve some pumpkins."
Cass routed through her back and with a victorious look on her face, pulled out a small, blunt, colourful, plastic, muggle knife.
She put her finger on the tip of the blade. Disgusted she threw it behind her. "Stupid 'Play-Skool' knife... Theresa. Sorry. That wouldn't cut through butterbeer." She grinned. "What you been up to?"

Theresa laughed as she watched her throw the knife thing "hey Cassi, nothing much, I was planning on getting one of the little creatures from the lake and keeping it as a pet before Black from Ravenclaw lectured me about making my Ravenclaw friends get in trouble so if they do then he will probably come after me" she said, laughing slightly. "So for now, I am sitting in the pumpkins with Lil Tom my kitten" she said as she stroked her cat. "There has been a whole lot of other stuff that I cant even keep track of, what about you?" she asked.

"Woah, Tom's beautiful! Is his name Lil' Tom, or is Tom ok?"
Cass laughed at Will Black being the rule-book hugger. "Apparantly he 'is the opposite of the teacher's pet'- or so he said. So I wouldn't worry about him. Wait... what creatures in the lake? Mermaids? Grindylows? Oh, Theresa, I don't think either would be happy being a pet..."
She trailed off, and passed Theresa another one of her endless supplied Chocolate Frogs. "Here."
"Me? What's been up with me? Hm.."

"Both is fine, I just like Lil Tom but most people call him Tom" she said. She laughed at the idea of having merpeople as pets "I was thinking about something like a Plimply or something" she said as she thought. "I definetely remember seeing some when I went into the lake to go squid hunting and ended up finding a big dark looking thing instead" she said. She laughed as she opened thchocolate frog "I think he is nothing but a hypocrite" she said.

"Lil Tom it is," agreed Cass. "Ahh, the Plimplies. I didn't think of those. They sound cool. You want to go look for them now? OOH! Which reminds me- I need to see how Bradley is."
Cass jumped up, and held out a hand to Theresa. "Care to help me find Bradders? We can swim for Plimplies after?"

Theresa looked confused as she stood up "who is bradley?" she asked as she brushed the soil off her. "I don't think Black will like it if I send another one of his Ravenclaws into my , as he calls it, shenanigans" she joked as she tried to say the word in his voice.
