Though they didn't have a cake, Harmony's mother had sent candy from Honeyduke's, which was quite excellent. She had told Alice to meet her at the Room of Requirement when she could, and Harmony couldn't wait to give Alice her present.
She knew her friend loved to draw more than anything, and she wanted to get her something to help improve her writing. That's why she got her a calligraphy kit. That way, she could practice her handwriting when they weren't writing with quills. Of course, it would make her quillwork better as well.
Done with the decorating, Harmony smiled, rocking back and forth on her feet, waiting for Alice to come through the door.
