    Hanging Around Empty Hanging Around

Cat looked at where she was sitting in approval. The branch she had straddled was about the thickness of larger monkey-bars that she had spent so much time learning her way around not so long ago. She hung her bag on the branch above her and grabbed the book from the top, stowing it securely under her jumper.

That done, the small girl settled herself sidesadlle on the branch, made sure both book and bag were very secure and leant back.

Cat snapped back and felt the blood rush to her head almost immediately. She shuffled her knees along awkwardly until the were in a relatively comfortable position, catching sight of her hair streaming below her towards the dark water.

Perhaps hanging upside down right over the lake hadn't been quite so intelligent...

Cat raised her hands to the base of her jumper, trying not to laugh at the peculiar sensation and pulled out her book. Flipping it open and biting the bookmark firmly as so not to loose it, the upside down girl began to read.

Alexandra had been strolling down by the lake, eager to get a bit of fresh air. She was just contemplating whether it was warm enough to swim when she came across a tree. She blinked at first, not sure what she was seeing, but sure enough there was a girl hanging upside down from it and reading. "How can you read like that?" asked Alex in amazement.

Cat carefully brought her hands up to her mouth and pulled out the bookmark from between her teeth. "With great concentration." She yelled back. She looked up (or down, depending on your point of view) and grinned (or frowned, again, depending on perspective). "It's Alexandra, isn't it?" She transferred the book into one hand and waved at her.
