Alexandra skipped down to the lake, happily breathing in the fresh air that filled her lungs. It was so nice out. She reached the part of the lake that was filled with large rocks and grinned as she scrambled onto one of them and kicked her shoes off. Dipping her toes in the cool water, she gazed up at the brilliantly blue sky, hoping someone would come along she could talk to.

"Hullo there, fair maiden," Cass bowed to Alex.
"Do you need company, milady? Or are you wanting to travel on these waters?"
She grinned. "Y'all right, dude? Look at you. More chill than an ice cube. You make me smile."

Alexandra smiled as Cass came over. "Come join me," she said. "The water's great." she added, wiggling her toes in the water. "And yes, I suppose I am very chill. The water must be having this effect on me," she said with a laugh.

"Don't mind if I do, cheers dude. So what are you doing around these parts, cowboy? Got any damsels to save?"
Cass joined Alex on the pretty large boulder, taking off her shoes. She didn't need to take socks off- she'd forgotten to wear any.
"The way water keeps you calm is the same as how Nights spent outside keep me calm. Cool."

"Yeah, it does. It's really nice out. I'm gonna be so sad when winter comes," said Alexandra with a sigh. "So what's up with you? Have you met the new Charms professor yet? I just came back from Charms. He seems different from Prof. Williams, don't you think? And we have a new head of house! This is crazy," said Alex, thinking of all the changes that had occurred over the past few days.

"Ok, ok. Head of house equals ok enough for me. But no-one can replace Williams, she was just brilliant. New Charms professor seems ok enough. I was worried when I heard he was a Malfoy, you know, because most of our year are Muggleborns or Mixed Blood like you and I, but if house points is anything to go by, he gave me ten for Ravenclaw, so, decent I guess."

Cass messed around with her satchel, "by the way, I've got a surprise for you in my Crash Pad. In the Room of Requirements. You'll love it, you know."

"Well, good job with those ten points. Must keep Ravenclaw in the lead," Alex said with a grin, then asked, interested, "What sort of surprise?" Wondering what Cass could have cooked up.

"Theresa got fifty for something- I just can't remember what it was for. That's where the big dogs are," she said, pointing to nothing in particular, "good deeds."
She spat out a bit of grass she'd been chewing on.

"A really good surprise. You'll love it. When you not busy?"
