Samantha walked into the library, opting to skip lunch again. Transfiguration was one of the hardest subjects in school for her but that only made her more determined to get it. Lately, the girl had taken to haunting that particular section of the library, hoping that if she read enough theory and concentrated hard enough, she would be able to understand what was going on better than she did now.

The day outside was beautiful, a cool inviting breeze rippled by the window and the girl wished she could study outdoors. But the lake was always too crowded and she dare not go near the forest. Even the pitch was not the quiet place it used to be.

Glancing longing out the window, the girl took up Transfiguration Today and opened it to page 682 where she’d left off. She was almost sure the final would be a mammal Transfiguration and she wanted to be thoroughly prepared.

She doubted she’d have to wait for long. Some other Slytherin was bound to have the same idea. The witch knew how hard her house mates were trying and she appreciated them all for it more than she could say.

Mary walked into the library and looked for a peacefull corner where she could study. She wanted to be outside more than anything, but she knew she wouldn't be able to concentrate on Charms. Whenever she was outside and there were people near, she couldn't do any studying at all.
So, she sighed and decided to find the books for studying first. After she succesfully found two of them, Mary went looking for a peacefull corner. It seemed she found it, but when she double checked, she saw Sam sitting there.
"Oh, hi. Sorry, am I interrupting?" she whispered.

"Minimizing brain activity in order to sedate the subject successfully thenceforth...Oh, hi. Sorry, am I interrupting-

Wait, this can't be right. The girl looked up to see Mary and a smile crawled on her lips. "Oh Mary, for a moment I thought you were Albertius Wingblade," the girl said mentioning the book in her hands.

'And no, I was just reading up for the Transfiguration final, I'm almost possible she's going to let us have a go at mammals," the witch groaned.

"Maybe I was Wingblade in my first life." she made a joke. Grinning, Mary put her books on the table. "They're heavy." she explained.
Nodding to what Sam said, she got worried.
"Yes, it is the hardest option." she agreed with a groan. She liked their headmistress, but she had no doubt Transfiguration exam will be a hard one.

"What are you studying for?" Samantha asked the other witch, closing Transfiguration Today on the desk. "I personally think I've got Herbology, History and Potions covered. Now if I was only so lucky in Transfiguration and Charms," she groaned. Even Defense wasn't so hard for her as these two subjects. The girl sighed, waiting for Mary's response.

"Charms for me today. Then, like you, I have to learn Transfiguration and, also, History. Some of us aren't natural talents." Mary said with a grin, reffering to Sam's great knowledge of history.
"I'm ok in Herbology, know Astronomy well enough, Potions, I'll pass and I think DADA's pretty good too. Though I'll keep studying. You never know." she said with a tired smile.
They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Well, I'll be a freaking Ultimate champion after this! she thought as she was thinking of all the studying that she yet has to do.

Samantha blushed at the comment about talent. "You know I don't mind helping, Mary. If you need assistance in any subject, I'll help as best I can," she promised, looking at Mary earnestly. Their goal was the same after all, to see the House Cup in Professor Green's office. And Samantha knew her housemates would do anything to make that vision a reality.

"Thanks, Sam. I'll ask if I need any help." Mary smiled at her friend's offer. "For now, I understand everything, but that's not a guarantee." the black haired witch grinned. She wanted to win the House Cup so badly and she valued Sam's help a lot, the girl was smart.

"I suppose we better get back to studying," the Slytherin said with a sigh, looking dolefully at the thick volume in front of her. "Though I swear, the writing style of these books actually discourages people from studying,' she tried to make light of the situation as she opened the tome to page 716. Finding the paragraph where she'd left off, the girl immersed herself in her reading once more.

Mary grinned and nodded. "I can imagine, yes." she replied and opened the thick book about Charms. There were so many things she'd rather be doing, but she had to stay inside and study. She hoped very much their effort won't be in vain. Girl wanted prof Green to have the House Cup and she was determined she'll do anything to achieve that.
Burrying her nose in the book, she lost herself in the art of Charms.
