Reina pushed back the door to the room of requirement and shut it behind her. The darkened room was lit with candles whose wax ran like blood. It resembled the crypt chapel of an old cathedral. The walls and floor were stone and at the far end of the room was an old stone fireplace. Reina picked up one of the candleholders and made her way across the room to one of the black and red velvet couches near the fireplace. They were shaped like coffins and she reclined across it. One top of the fireplace were several books, their titles in Latin, and several more books were piled on the raised slab between the couches. The slab also contained blood pops and dark grape juice in old fashion wine goblets.

She eagerly took a blood pop and moved one of the goblets closer to her, leafing through one of the books. Irish meowed, curling up on her lap. She petted him as she gazed over the pages of the book. "Perfect." She thought to herself, taking a sip of the grape juice.

She picked up her diary from the floor and turned it to a fresh page. She wrote slowly, sucking on a blood pop as she wrote. Her stomach growled and she noticed Chinese food on the slab. She chuckled to herself, putting her diary down and grabbing the food. She could get used to this.

Alexandra, who had just been walking past the seventh floor corridor, spotted a door in the wall that she had not noticed before. Entering the room, Alexandra found herself in a room that looked like it had come straight out of some horror film or the book Dracula. As her eyes adjusted to the dim light, she called out, "Woah! What is this place?"

Reina walked out of the shadows, sucking on a blood pop and holding a goblet of grape juice. "Welcome to my little shop of horrors." She said with a smirk, and laughed. "Hey Alex. What brings you to my little corner of the world?" She offered the girl some grape juice. "Don't be scared, it just looks creepy. It's really kind of pleasant." Reina waved her hand and more candles appeared so that room was brighter. "There, come on." She gestured her head toward the couch.

Alexandra gladly accepted the grape juice and took a gulp. It was quite delicious, a good combination of sweetness and sourness. Perhaps a bit more on the sour shop. "Just wandering around, and I stumbled on this place," she said with a shrug, and let Reina lead her to the couch and took a seat.

Reina nodded. She took another gulp of her grape juice and set her bloodpop back in the stand. She reached over and picked up the book she had gotten in the library earlier and held it out to Alex. "I saw you looking in the section on the House of Black. Forgive me for forgetting that you're related to Will and Me. My mind has been elsewhere lately. You can look at this, if you want."

"Thanks," said Alex, taking the heavy book from her. "I can understand...I'm not exactly a part of the family," she said, flicking through a few pages. "Though I would like to know who exactly I'm related to and how," she said with a sigh.

"Having Black as a surname is interesting. It means you're probably Sirius or Regulus's granddaughter somehow. Though I don't know for sure. Will's father was Regulus's son and my father was Sirius's, as far as I knew they were the only heirs, titles that passed to me and Will. If you end up being my first cousin, I will be ecstatic, though. So look for...it's your mother whose a Black, correct? Look for her name. It lists the disowned Blacks, so she should be there." Reina reclined on the couch, picking up her bloodpop again.

Alexandra listened to the complicated family tree and felt a bit dizzy. What a lot of information to absorb! "I'm guessing my mother must have been sister to Regulus's son and Sirius's son," she thoughtfully, dwelling on this information. "Okay, let's see, what's the page?" she said, as she started leafing through the large book.

Reina thought for a moment. "Maybe half-sister or even twin. I can see Will's grandmother disowning her daughter for marrying a muggle, though Will's father married a muggle-born." She pondered this for a moment. "I don't know about my grandmother, though. Regulus is listed first, so try looking on page 10. That talks about Will's grandmother and his father." She sucked on her bloodpop some more.

Alexandra took a sip of her grape juice, excitement coursing through her. Was she about to find out the secrets of her heritage, by a simple library book. She turned toward page ten and put a finger to it and began scanning the list, peering down at the dusty old library book. The print was so small. "Ahh..here it is!" she cried out, staring at the page in amazement.

Reina smiled. "Please be Sirius's granddaughter, please be Sirius's granddaughter." She thought to herself. Not that it would change anything, her father was still the elder, and she herself was older then Alex, but still, it might give her the excuse she had been looking for. For why she shouldn't be forced to marry Will just because she was the last remaining heir. Obviously now there was another. "Well, what does it say?"

Alexandra, who's face was so close to the book that she couldn't see Reina's, cried out in excitement,"This is what it says; Esmeralda Black was the most recent person to be disowned from the Black family because of her involvement with a muggle which tarnishes the Black family name...blah, blah, blah, pureblood stuff....Esmeralda was the twin sister of Sirius's son!" she gasped out.

    ooc: =p

Reina's face lit up. Her father had a sister. A twin sister. And his sister's daughter was sitting just across from her. Reina jumped up and grabbed Alex, squeezing her. "I always wanted a sister! Bloody Hell I always wanted a sibling around my age!" She started jumping up and down. "Alex, you have to got to come to my estate during Winter Break, we'll have so much fun in Edinburgh during the winter!"

Alexandra could only stare at her. She felt like she might faint; everything was spinning slightly. "What does this mean? We're first cousins?" she asked, slightly dazed by the revelation that she was related to Sirius Black. The Sirius Black.

"Yes! We're first cousins. We're practically sisters!" Reina was grinning ear to ear. She had someone her own age in her family. She forgot about the engagement, she forgot about the pressures put on her, for a moment she could throw caution to the wind and celebrate. She and Alex were first cousins, their parents were twins. She threw her arms around Alex again. "I'm so happy for both of us!"

Alexandra was pulled out of her daze as Reina threw her arms around her, and Alex gladly returned the hug. She had a cousin! A magical cousin at that! "Wow! This is so crazy!" she said, a grin spreading across her face. She had been so lonely being an only child, and now she practically had her own sister. What a day today was turning out to be.

Reina wasn't sure she should laugh or cry. She hugged Alex for the third time, pulling back and looking her over. They had the same dark hair, though Alex's was curly and Reina's straight, and the same vampire pale skin. Another grin spread across Reina's face, just imagining everything they could do together. "We have to tell Will!" Reina gushed.

Once Reina pulled away from her hug, Alexandra could see the similarities in them. They both had the same dark hair, though hers was curly just as her mother's was, and the pale skin. How hadn't she noticed before? "Yeah, we have to! But I heard he's really upset or something," she said slowly, thinking of the rumors she had heard.

"Yeah, I heard about that. Anyway," Reina turned back to the book, flipping the page over and scanning the next entry. Her dark eyes widened. "Alex, come here, you have to see this!" She motioned her newly found cousin over to the book and showed her the photograph printed on the next page. Five young students, all dark haired, grinning and waving to the camera. Reina recognized her mother and father immediately. The young curly-haired Slytherin, Valerian Black, had his arm playfully around the neck of a young Ravenclaw who looked almost exactly like Reina, Athena Nox. His other arm was held lovingly by another girl, with soft black curls and a shy grin. Reina pointed her out to Alex, knowing that had to be her mother. A taller boy with longer wavy hair leaned his head against Esmeralda's waist. He held a shy looking girl in his arms. "That's Volantis Black." Reina breathed, recognizing the silver wristwatch that Will always wore. She knew the girl had to be Will's mother, he had the same blue eyes as the girl in the picture.

"Wow," said Alexandra softly, looking at the photograph. There was her mother, smiling up at her from the book. "This is so crazy," she said, still in slight awe of everything that was happened. "You should show this to Will," she said, thinking he would like to see it.

Reina dumped her school books down on the floor by the fire. One by one the candles went out, until the only light in the room came from the roaring fire. She got out her quill and picked up her diary, scribbling something down before sighing deeply and leaning back against the couch. "I spend too much time alone." She said out loud, to herself. The candles immediately came back on and the room brightened. She rolled her eyes and the room darkened again. Stretching out across the couch, and the fire smothered to embers, and she reached over for a blood pop.
