Theresa skipped to the lake, flipping through her notebook, full of ideas for the lake comunity. She kneeled by the surface of the water and looked around. She was suppose to meet Cassico out here. She shook her head and observed the water as she waited, scribbling down more ideas she had.

"I am heeeere!" sung Cass, marching and raising a salute to her, "Cassopeia Kendra Marling, reporting for duty, sir! So," she spoke normal again, maintaining an exaggerated normal face. "Explain me the petition, just to make sure."

Theresa rolled her eyes mockingly "I think you woke up the birds in the trees Cassico" she teased as she stood up and smiled at her. "Well so far, this is what I had in mind" she said as she picked up her notebook.
"About half of the lake population has been killed or have lost their homes because of some acsidents around the lake, by signing this, you can either promise to be careful in or around the lake or help me which would involve things like swimming deep in the lake to help the creatures and to keep an eye on everything" she said, flipping through the pages of ideas she had.

Cass nodded, scratching her hand as Theresa showed her her plans on paper.
"I'd be happy to do both. I'm a strong swimmer, surprisingly, so I wouldn't mind helping out down there. Besides, it's something you seem to be passionate about," she shrugged.

"Well, magical creatures are so facinating, even the tiny ones in the lake" Theresa said. She had never really thought about her interest in creatures being that strong but she guessed that it was. "Even the fishes in that lake have been at this school longer then us and should have the same rights and respect as anything in the forbidden forest and any of us" she said as she closed her notebook.

"Thanks Cassi, what I want to do first is to check for damage, the explosions in the lake could have done anything, also, I think it is fine that people throw rocks into the lake but the other day, I saw some fourth years throwing huge rocks that looked like they weighed like five or six pounds which could do a lot of damage" she said, looking worriedly at the lake.

"I agree, Theresa. Completely agree. Maybe we should take this to one of the Professors, see if they could do bubble chars on us to get to the bottom of the lake. Fourth Years? Puh- bane of my complete existance. Best year's the sixth year. they have all the best quidditch players."

Cass walked closer to the water, seeing if she could spot anything off to the naked eye.

Theresa thought for a moment "that would be good but I might need a few more signatures before talking to a Professor, I havent asked Lauren yet, havent seen her around" she said. She looked over the lake and smiled "thanks for helping, it would be great to start the petition and get it running" she said, imagining all the creatures they could save.

"How about you Owl everyone? I think that'd be a good idea. Get the ball rolling, man," offered Cass. "So hows things been since I saw you last? Anything good? Oo! I got another question. My friend wants to know what animals are in the Black Lake."
Cass thought in the meantime about how she could help out in the Petition.

Theresa shrugged "I wouldnt be able to, when it comes to people who I dont know that well, I get very nervous" she said, biting her lip as she focused a bit too hard on the pages of her book.

She thought about the creatures for a moment, she had heard of so many and had even seen a few. "I have seen Plimpys, the squid, an octopus and different types of fish, there are suppose to be merpeople and Grondylows down there and so many other creatures that I have seen but havent been able to find out what they were" she said.
"Who wanted to know?" she asked curiously.

"How about setting up a table round here, with a banner, and posters and leaflets, something like that," said Cass, wondering if that was something that would interest her.
"It might've been Cat Black, only I can't remember, it was a bit ago- well, earlier on in the day, so I can't be sure."

Theresa grinned, it sounded like a great idea. "That might work but how would we show people?" she asked. She wondered how they could get people into the petition or even find out about it. Maybe they could spread the knews around some how. She knew that she couldnt owl people, she always turned into a nervous wreck around people who werent her friends.

Cass pondered. Pondering was a good word.
"Word of mouth is always good," she said with finality. "I'll tell a few people, you tell a few people. 'Sall good. Why don't you tell Professor Green- she's the editor of the Hogwarts Newspaper, isn't she? Maybe she can publicise it that way?"
Either way, Cass yawned and knew it was time to go to bed.
"I'm off, Theresa, I'm shattered. Night." She gave Theresa a hug and walked back to the castle. Once she knew Theresa was still at the lake, thinking, she crept to the Whomping Willow, whispering for Bradley to flip the switch.

"Hey Theresa." Mary greeted the Hufflepuff by the lake. "Weren't we in a group together? Or something? Because I know you from somewhere..." her voice drifted away.
She looked around for Cassi, who invited her here but didn't see her. She probably went to sleep she concluded and smiled to the girl next to her.

Theresa looked up from her notebook when she heard a voice. She saw a girl that she thought she had seen before and smiled "hi Mary, I'm not sure, maybe" she said. She scribbled a few notes down before looking back at the lake. "You ok?" she asked when she looked back at Mary.

"Yes, thanks. Erm, have you seen Cassopeia Marling by any chance? She told me to come here for a petition for lake animals, I think..."Mary told Theresa with a smile. She liked taking care of animals, even though she was a Slytherin. Her mother was always encouring her into being nice and helping others, even just some animals.

Theresa shook her head "sorry, Cassi went to bed a while ago" she said. She smiled when the girl mentioned the petition "the petition on helping the creatures of the lake, I am trying to help them since half of them were killed or left injured after some acidents around the lake" she explained. "You like animals then?" she asked, wondering if there were more people in Hogwats who liked to help the creatures here too.

Mary nodded. "I like animals, yes. And I think they have a right to be defended." she said with a determined smile.
"What were you thinking of doing to help them?" she asked and sat down by Theresa.

Theresa nodded "I agree, the animals at this school have as many rights as us and should be respected" she said before opening her notebook.

"So far, I am doing a petition for people to sign and they can either promise to be more careful around and in the lake or help me" she explained as she flipped through the notebook. "Some fourth years the other day were throwing huge rocks, about five or six pounds in weight into the lake and then there was the explosions so I am hoping to get something around the lake so it can be stopped, also, I want to go deep into the lake and to help any animals that are hurt or have their homes destroyed which may include putting some of the smaller animals in fish tanks until they can heal" she said.

Cass looked out of the clock tower, after spending a lot of time waiting for Mary to walk over to Theresa on her little table, looking bored. She did almost fall off the ledge to the grass thousands of feet below, but she regained her balance.

Glad that Theresa was talking to people she didn't know very well without the help of Cass, or indeed, her other friends in the House of Awesome, Cass ticked Mary off her list of people she'd asked to make their way down to the Lake for Theresa's petition.

Hopefully, Mary hadn't told her it was her that had OWL'd Mary about it. Cass liked the idea of Theresa wondering who her mystery benefactor was.
    I love Hogwarts.

Mary nodded along, smiling. "Sure, I'll be glad to help. Just tell me what you want me to do."she offered. Looking around, she suddenly realized it got dark.
"Theresa, I'm gonna go inside now. It's getting dark and I don't want Filch or anybody else to catch me. Owl me or something when you'll want me to do anything. Have fun." she said while getting up. Singing happilly to herself, she went back to the castle.

Theresa smiled "thanks" she said before she looked back down at the lake. She was happy that someone else liked the petition idea and was willing to help. All she had to do now was to check out the damage that the fourth years and the explosions caused the last few days.

Theresa looked up when she heard footsteps and a ravenclaw girl. She shrugged to herself as she looked back down at the lake and scribbled a few notes down in her notebook. She noticed that the girl hadn't walked passed and wondered if she should talk to her. She was probably waiting for someone but she thought she should make sure she was alright. She bit her lip slightly as she stood up, she turned to face the girl and smiled. "Hi, are you ok?" she asked.

Theresa nodded as she brushed the soil off her robes. "yea that's me, and you are?" she asked. "Your in the right place for the petition but I haven't seen Cass in a while" she said as she closed her notebook. "She was here but she left before, something about going to bed" she said.
