    Moaning Myrtle Empty Moaning Myrtle

Professor Williams looked at Myrtle with an exasperated look. this was the fifth time she had broken that toilet this month! At this rate, she'd find some way to get her to move on like Binns had done in her her senior year at Hogwarts.

"I'm just Moaning Myrtle! LEAVE ME ALONE," Myrtle wailed.

"Oh hush up," she said irritably, "you're a fine young lady Myrtle, but do stop breaking that toilet. What would the other ghosts say? You're friends with them."

Myrtle sniffed a little at the professor before miserably nodding her head.

"There there, just guard this bathroom and please try not to blow them up on students again," she said kindly before getting a nod again. She smiled and left.

While exploring, Rezika wandered into the bathroom. She had heard that this was the bathroom that was haunted by a ghost, and she was excited to see for herself.

"Come to laugh at Myrtle, have you?" A voice screamed at the witch from above her. Rezika jumped and looked up, apologetic.

"No, why would I laugh at you? I was just exploring!"

"Of course you were!" The ghost giggled sarcastically and flew through Rezika, who sprinted out the bathroom, still shivering.

Rebecca had heard much about Myrtle from other students and Summer. She didn't like ghosts that much, they creeped her out but she had to just go see if Myrtle was as scary as others said she was.

Rebecca stuck her head into the bathroom and didn't see anyone. She inhaled deeply and then entered the bathroom all the way.

"Come to laugh at Myrtle have you?" A voice asked from beside Rebecca. She turned to see a ghost beside her. Rebecca let out a small scream and ran back out the door.

She had been brave enough for one day. Maybe another day she would try again.

Cat looked at the bathroom and shifted Pierre under her arm with a grin. Haunted bathroom? Best place to raise a waterbird. Hopefully not too many people would disturb the duck, and she could leave him here when she attended classes.

The Ravenclaw walked down the slightly damp bathroom with a small sniff. Urgh... She REALLY didn't want to know what that smell was. Reaching the last cubicle she turned. The loo seemed fairly intact, and the cistern was in working order. Cat flushed once, just to be sure, and put various waterweeds she'd picked up during her swim earlier into the basin.

There was a shriek and a ghostly head popped up accusingly. Ah. Well, haunted bathroom...

"What are you doing!?" the ghostly girl, who Cat presumed was Myrtle shrieked.

Cat looked at her. "Is that a trick question or something? I'm putting kelp in a toilet while holding a duck- I'm creating a secondary habitat in which I can observe him."

The ghostly girly looked at her like she thought the Ravenclaw was insane. Pierre seemed to be sharing similar thoughts. "Are you making fun of me?" Myrtle hissed, eyes narrowed.

Cat raised an eyebrow. "What on earth would be the purpose of that?" she asked, perplexed.

The ghost gave a huff, or as much of a huff a person with no breath could give and dived back under. Cat looked down at Pierre and shrugged before placing him in the toilet. She took out a pair of scissors and carefully clipped one of his wings so he couldn't escape before setting up the muggle recorder. It was a bit fuzzy, but the sounds were coming through with reasonable distinction.

Cat nodded before standing and brushing herself off. She looked back at the far cubicle before she left the bathroom with a small smile.

Jasmeet walked into the girls bathroom. Before her, she saw that a toilet had been broken. Guessing that it was the work of the ghost that lived in the toilets, she shrugged and walked towards the sinks.

"Come to laugh at Myrtle have you?"

At the hissing sound, Jasmeet looked up. Remembering what Rave would do in a situation like this, she rolled her eyes and said, "Shut up, Myrtle!"

Hearing the bored tone of Jasmeet, Myrtle screeched at her, before disappearing into a cubicle.

When Jasmeet was finished, she eyed the broken toilet once more before exiting the toilet.

Alexandra entered the bathroom with slight trepidation. She had heard the rumors, of course, that a ghost haunted this bathroom. Being her curious self, she just had to check it out.

The bathroom was slightly dark when she entered, a few stubby candles burning low in their brackets. Alexandra looked around but didn't see anything, and was a bit disappointed. That was when she heard the splash of water behind her.

Turning around, she saw the ghost of a girl floating in midair, her hair in pigtails and thick glasses upon her face. She gave a great wail and flew toward the ceiling, ghostly tears splashing down her face.

"She's an odd 'un, ain't she?" said Cass to Alex loudly.
Cass walked briskly to one of the broken sinks. She slinked down to ground level and felt around the base. She pulled out a small stringbag.
"My first-aid kit," she explained to Alex, with a toothy smile.
She didn't feel like explaining why she had one outright, so opened her bag and started looking for her Bruise Removal Paste.

"Quite," said Alexandra as Myrtle gave another great sob and flew down a toilet with a loud splash. Alex went over to the crumbling sinks where Cass was sitting and plopped down next to her. Noticing that she suddenly had a bag and was pulling bruise remover out of it, Alex asked, "Did you hurt yourself or something?"

Without embarassment, Cass raised her jumper to reveal a bruise on her stomach. It was at least the span of her hand, and was dark purple. She lowered her jumper.
"Yeah, you could say that. But it's ok, it's not too bad, actually. Looks a lot worse than it feels," she lied.
She rubbed the paste on the bruise, keeping the jumper pulled down. She didn't want to see the bruise disappear. It was sick enough to look at already.

Alex looked at the bruise in horror. "What happened? Did you get in a fight or something?" she asked. That thing looked painful. Really painful. "Are you okay?" she said, watching Cass rubbing her stomach with her shirt pulled over it.

Cass hid a smirk from the idea of fighting with someone. Not that she'd kickass- she would, though, she had one mean punch, although that was pretty much it- but because Cass never let anyone get close enough to make enough damage.
"Nah. Like an idiot, I went to the Whomping Willow. BUT, of course, I didn't have a Charms-Master-friend with me, to levitate a branch at the little button near the bottom."
She rubbed a little paste on her forehead, lifting her erratic side curls, when Alex didn't seem to be looking.
"So, come on, chastise me for being stupid. I'm waiting for it." Cass looked at Alex, wide-eyed. "As long as you're still my friend."

"The whomping willow? How very reckless. Are you sure you shouldn't be in Gryffindor?" asked Alex teasingly. "But you could have gotten really hurt....I wouldn't go there alone again," said Alexandra. "And of course I'm still your friend!" said Alex with a smile.

"Hii heh hee, Alex is friends with me!" sang Cass. "Oops, there's a chocolate frog's leg in your hair- where the hell did that come from? Odd."
"By the way. We're going to go to the Whomping Willow. Me and you. Come to think of it, I'd better ask you first. Soo..." she took an intake of breath, "Wanna go?"

"Nice rhyme," said Alex with a smirk. She impatiently brushed the chocolate frog's leg out of her curls as she said, "Of course I want to go! As long as I don't get a bruise like that one," she said. "So how do you get to it?" she inquired.

"Well, we'll hop to it, you little deviant dementor." she stuck out her tongue.
"It's near the lake, is it not?"

"Yeah, I think it's at the edge of the lake. Maybe a bit farther," said Alex with a shrug, standing up and offering Cass a hand. "Well, we better get going if we want to be there before it's dark," she said. "What time is it anyway?" she asked absentmindedly.

(A/N: Idk...Well let's just make it be there Very Happy)

"Sounds good," said Alex brushing herself off as she stood. "I've never gone down there, though. You'll have to show me the way. I've heard the elves are very interesting," she said, walking toward the door. "And of course snacks are a very important part of our adventure," she said seriously.

Cass pinned the next and hopefully waterproofed bit of parchment to the second stall door.
Inside, the third clue read Gilderoy Lockhart was a vain man. Like Narcissus, what would Gilderoy have been drawn to had he ventured there?

Cass hoped that Raven would catch on, but not too soon- she had to place the penultimate clue there next!

Raven shut his eyes and pushed the door open to the bathroom. Inside his head was the mantra, 'Get in, get the clue, get out. Get in, get the clue, get out.' And hopefully no professors would be in the area.
Quickly he searched the bathroom, relieved there was no one else in there. Ripping the parchment off the stall door, he exited the bathroom.

Cat walked up to the end stall, another load of kelp in her hands. "Hey Pierre." She said softly to the duck, "You hungry?"

The affirming quack answered her question for her and the girl fed the bird the water weeds that it ate in quick succession. "You'll be getting fat." She joked.

Cat frowned as she looked at his wings, she had clipped them, but they had grown back. She sighed. "Looks like it's time to let you go my feathered friend." She said, a touch sadly.

She gathered the duck under her arm and walked out, heading for the lake.

Hobbling in again, and resting on a stall, Cass wiped her forehead and headed to her sink, with her Emergency First Aid Kit still tucked underneath it. She was glad she had thought to bring a scourer to Hogwarts, although scrubbing wasn't going to take away the disgusted feeling she had, from being in that Hospital Wing.

She wet the scourer under a tap, and started scrubbing at her arms. By a couple of minutes, her arms had peals of skin missing. There weren't tears, or screams of pain, just a determined look to get the trace of the Hospital Wing gone.

Samantha came to stand quietly beside the Ravenclaw, tugging at her arm gently. "Here Cass, give it to me." After a moment of tugging, she succeeded in making Cass let go off the scourer.

Fishing a small pill out of her pocket, she gave it to Cass. "Here, suck on this, it'll help," she advised softly.

Cass hid her hands behind her back, but it was too late. Sam had noticed. She let out a strangled giggle and then clasped onto her mouth. Slowly, she looked at the pill, lowered her hand, and nodded. She sniffed, knowing Samantha would see tears on her face, but hoping she'd ignore them.

She looked at Sam pointedly, not able to say thank you out loud.
    Thank you.
