Alone in a Tower Empty Alone in a Tower

Theresa hurried up the steps of the tower, carrying quite a large stack of books. She put the books down when she reached the top and sat down. She put the books around her like a small fort and reached into her bag. Taking out her notebook and a muggle pen, she began to write.

She opened one of the books and slipped through to the page she wanted. Perfect she thought as she began to write.

Lauren was walking back from Astronomy when she came to the top of the stairs to nearly fall down them. Theresa had created what looked like a makeshift fort of textbooks and she sat amongst them, writing something with a muggle pen.

"What the devil are you doing , girl?" Lauren asked her, stepping over books to come and sit next to her. "Were you trying to kill me?"

Theresa looked up and grinned when she saw Lauren. "Was it that obvious?' she asked sweetly.
"Anyway, it didn't work, should have got bigger books" she said, pretending to be sad. "Really though, I am planning a nice last day, after the exams of course" she said.
"How have you been? I haven't seen you in a while" she asked cheerfully.

Lauren huffed playfully and turned her head from her friend at her mention of purposely trying to kill her with a big pile of books.

She laughed and turned back around, "It's been a while hasn't it. Oh well. I guess everyone is shut away trying not to fail these finals!" Lauren then grinned, "Oh! End of year. I cannot wait! What are you planning?"

Theresa's grin grew as she watched Lauren.
"I know, I have been stuck in my dorm, the sooner the finals are over the better" she said.
"So far, I have got; jump into the lake with friends once we are classed as 'finished' on the last day, Hilary and Shelby already agreed to this one, big game of seek and hide, or whatever Shelby caled it, it sounds cool and we can do it on the grounds, also, party in one of these towes... maybe" she said as she looked down at her notebook and read them out.

Lauren smirked, "Sounds great! You know what would be even better?" Lauren said, leaning closer to her friend and lowering her voice ever so slightly.

"We should play one final game of truth or dare. After all, this year would not have been the same without the House of Awesome and our epic truth or dare games! We'll have to keep that a secret though, I suppose." Lauren laughed at the memories of their games and felt sad that it led to the cancelation of HoA.

Theresa bit her lip, she loved truth or dare and they had not played it in so long!
She sighed and shook her head "you know we cant Lauren, we will get in trouble again and I dont fancy a detention on the last day" she said.

"Besides, this seek and hide game sounds great, Shelby told me about it and would be perfect" she said, nodding her head for emphasis.

Lauren admitted defeat. "Okay. I see your point but, boy, it would have been a blast! I really don't want detention on the last day either. That would really put a damper on graduating, wouldn't it!?"

Lauren sighed as she remembered the fun they had had during those games. She then looked down at the bracelet on her hand.

"At least we'll always have these, thanks to Cass. And that hide and seek game, does sound like fun."

Theesa nodded "Yeah, House of Awesome for ever, lady Lauren" she said. "That Seek and hide or hide and seek, whatever it is called, will be fun, imagine all those threes and it will be a perfect chance to cross something off my list... get stuck in a tree" she said, giggling as she thought about how amusing it would be.
