Entering the Room of Requirements with his thoughts channeling into it, Indiana closed the door behind him and was surprised to see it vanish. He then moved his hand through the air and felt the doorknob.

'Ah, it's probably just blending into this background.'
the youth thought to himself before turning around and finding himself standing on a platform that was part of a temple structure containing Greek and Roman architecture and was apparently floating in the sky filled with amber clouds and illuminated by sunlight.

'Nice way for the Room of Requirement's magic to simulate the environment down to the finest detail possible.' Indiana thought to himself as he threw a pen in a random direction before it vanished and reappeared on the surface of the platform. 'And it keeps everything from falling off the temple platforms.'

The youth then stood at the edge facing the illuminating sunlight before getting lost in his thoughts.

Shelby went up to the Room of Requirement with the intention of hanging out in the newly renovated HoA room, but found that the room seemed to be in use. This surprised her, as the room had very rarely been occupied whenever she'd felt the urge to visit.

"Hello?" she called, knocking on the door gently, wondering who was using the room and what they were using it for. She couldn't help her curiosity.

Hearing the knock on the door, Indiana was drawn out from his thoughts.

'Well, at least I have a good idea on the what next aspect.'
he thought to himself before slowly turning around and walking back, heading down the platform's stairway until he reached the lower level where the door would be.

Moving his hand about until he felt the handle, Indiana opened the door to see who was on the other side.

Shelby took a step backwards out of surprise when the door began to open, she hadn't actually been expecting the occupant to respond to her in any way.

"Hi," she said with a smile when the door pulled back to reveal Indiana. "I should have known it was you, you seem to be here quite a lot. Although," she peeked over his shoulder, "There doesn't appear to be any woodworking equipment this time so it seems that I don't need to worry about you cutting off a finger," she teased.

She observed the room more closely, letting her eyes soak in all the details. "What is this place?" she asked, slightly in awe of it all.

"Hi Shelby." Indiana replied before letting her in. "Well, the Room of Requirement's magic sure knows how to simulate the environment and such to create the Temple of Akasha. Akasha being the Sanskrit translation for Aether, the fifth classical element that is a part of the Ionic Philosophy from the ancient Greeks when they defined the world."

"Don't worry. The room would just put you back on the platform in case you fall off into the clouds." the youth continued. "I just thought of the place since the setting is rather relaxing."

Shelby followed Indiana inside and looked around again, this time turning in a circle slowly so that she could absorb as much of the strange surroundings as possible. "Quite impressive," she said quietly.

"So what happened that you needed to go somewhere relaxing?" As she spoke, she noted that the door seemed to have disappeared, but she didn't let it worry her since Indiana had been able to find it in order to let her in.

Indiana sighed. "Well, I'm just trying to put the two detentions that I recently had to endure behind me: The first having to tend to a fiery hot salamander laying eggs in a dungeon while wearing winter clothing with Professor Malfoy watching. The second having to sort and place rat brains in salt water jars for pickling while the Headmistress was monitoring everyone there. I think this week has been the most... lively for me."

Well, it was since the day he first came to Hogwarts and knowing that the end of the term was drawing near had triggered him into going on a ballistic streak.

Shelby frowned at the mention of the new Charms professor and the Headmistress both giving him a detention. It would seem that the Hogwarts staff was making up for lost time by being extremely vigilant about catching rule-breakers.

"What was the second detention for?" she asked, still frowning. She knew that the first had been the result of a visit to the Whomping Willow and Shelby had thought that Indiana would be a bit more careful after that incident, since the teachers were apparently very sneaky.

"Being underage while attempting to turn the Central Tower into an on-campus bar. The Headmistress looked rather steamed and so overstressed that time that I thought she would've had a nosebleed or something." Indiana replied while trying not to imagine himself getting catapulted from school to the Prime Meridian.

"It's rather disappointing that attempting to hone and sharpen certain skills and talents can lead to trouble in more ways than one." he added.

Shelby wasn't surprised that the Headmistress had caught him breaking the rules she seemed to have honed her trouble-finding skills recently, though she was a bit amused at what he'd been doing that had warranted a detention.

She was confused by his last few words. "More ways than one? What in the world are you talking about?" she asked, giving him a quizzical look.

"Let me just say that Central Tower is now much cleaner than it has ever been since the reconstruction after the Battle of Hogwarts." Indiana replied while rolling his eyes and thinking to himself. 'I probably should have sprayed the area with heavy vinegar and let it sit for some time before washing the place down with water.'

Seeing Indiana roll his eyes at something was pretty amusing since usually it was Shelby who had that sort of reaction to things. She considered suggesting that he make cleaning his side business when he was older but decided against it at the risk of really annoying him. She waited a moment to let the comment float out of her mind before speaking again.

"What else have you been up to these past few days?" Shelby felt like it had been forever since she'd actually seen Indiana around the castle.

"Well, there's homework. Exploring more of the surrounding grounds. Found a lot of prison cells in the Dark Tower. Recently attempted to make a bar in the Central Tower and would've offered some fresh wine to the faculty in order to relieve their stress while seeing if my wine-making skills are up to par." Indiana replied with a bit of enthusiasm. The recent detentions didn't dampen his spirits. He could always blame getting hit by the Whomping Willow for knocking a few screws loose in his behavior this week.

"How did the sketches come out?"

It was a little alarming to hear that there were prison cells in the school. What use could they possibly have at Hogwarts? "Are you sure that they are prison cells?" she asked, thinking it was possible that he'd been mistaken, though that wasn't a very likely possibility.

Her eyes narrowed at the mention of those stupid tiaras. "Not very well. I managed to finish two that are acceptable, but the rest are complete trash. I'm thinking of donating them to Resa for use in the next parchment war."

"Don't worry about it then." Indiana replied. They really wasn't much but there was still time to sketch a few more. He could give some pointers.

"The Dark Tower itself had prison cells in there. I really don't know why but I suppose the history books regarding Hogwarts or the ghosts might have some information." the youth replied.

"I refuse to give up on those stupid tiaras, bothersome as they are," Shelby replied stubbornly. She'd never given up a goal in her entire life, and she was determined to end up with her original goal of five tiaras that weren't complete trash.

"Why would they possibly need prison cells here?" she mused aloud, "Do you think they were used for punishing students?"

"That's the spirit, Shelby." Indiana replied, seeing her refusal to give up. Such persistence had valuable merits.

"The faculty is starting to revert to the old ways of punishing students, probably just for intimidation tactics or they feel that a new measure of order is needed." Indiana replied while looking at the amber clouds surrounding the Temple of Akasha. "I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to use the Dark Tower and have unruly children spend some nights there."

Indiana then channeled his thoughts into the Room of Requirement before several stacks of tomes appeared near the columns of the temple.

    "The Index Librorum Prohibitorum."

"If only Professor Williams was still here," Shelby sighed. "Then we'd at least having interesting punishments," she was still disappointed that Indiana hadn't been caught breaking the rules by Professor Williams.

She was startled when stacks of books appeared. All she could do for several moments was stare at them, speechless. She glanced at Indiana, then back at the books and decided to get a better look. Cautiously, she walked over to the nearest stack to further inspect it. "Wow," she said, finally managing to speak.

'At least they are still in the arranged order that I left them in.' Indiana thought to himself while noticing Shelby was checking one of the book stacks out.

He then went over to a nearby strongbox before loading it with the grimoires that Carline Albion was trying to get her hands upon. He decided to refrain from adding the Lemegeton and the Necronomicon to the strongbox. Once that was done, Indiana closed it before muttering a soft prayer to the strongbox.

He then turned and picked up the two grimoires that he intentionally kept out in the open before placing them on the book stack that dealt with astronomy.

Shelby leaned closer to one of the books but and was about to open the front cover before realizing that it might be dangerous. "If I touch one of these, it's not going to bite me or anything, is it?" she asked, remembering a book that her father owned that had to be chained up at all times.

"No, the tomes aren't enchanted with anything. I handled them all when organizing them at the beginning of the term so it's all alright." Indiana replied as he picked up the book and held it out to Shelby, showing that it was harmless and not moving.

"Whoever made books that could bite and move were really over their heads." the youth added.

"Well, it's still possible to read them, all you have to do is stroke the spine and then you can open it," Shelby happily took the book from Indiana and flipped to the first page, "Though after a while they tend to get a bit rowdy again. There are all sorts of enchanted books around here. I heard there was a book called the Invisible Book of Invisibility in the library. I couldn't find it though, obviously."

She read the first few pages, then looked up again. "Have you decided what you're going to do with these?" she asked, hoping that he wasn't planning to send them to Carline Albion.

Post by Amy Mitchell Tue 24 Aug 2010, 12:53

Professor Mitchell arrived, stealth-like and mysterious as of late since she had fixed her trouble-maker sensor in her office. As soon as she heard someone say, 'Dark Tower,' she was on the move. How could they have known? It was always her dream to torture students. When she arrived, she found Shelby and Indiana and realized that they had discovered the student-torturin--I mean, prison cells.

"OBLIVIATE!" she cried and wiped away both of their memories. Then she disappeared in a puff of smoke.

(OOC: Really? A Dark Tower? You can be more creative than that...)

Despite taking a full-powered memory charm, Indiana continued speaking even though he felt a gap in his mind. Whatever he was missing in his head, that will have to be dealt with later.

"I packed the grimoires into that strongbox over there." Indiana replied, pointing to the large container that had Roman-influence features on the outside. "However, I don't plan on adding the Lemegeton and the Necronomicon to the set. I'll just need to have them with me. The lunch box that Carline sent could hold a vast library but only the last book that is stored inside will be on the top and the only one to be seen when she opens it. The other books out here are Muggle titles. I'm still thinking on how to set up a meeting, though."
