400 Chocolate Frogs. You Want Them?

Hopefully Dixie had found her way here, seeing as they were planning on a mass Chocolate Frog day. Doubly hopefully, Cass could find her Reg Cattermole card Uncle Bargy had promised was in one of the 500 she had been given as a going away present. About eighty of them had been eaten, given away, thrown, or played with by Bradley her frog in the forest, so that left exactly four hundred and thirty seven to search (and eat) through.

Hearing footsteps, she yelled Dixie's name, lowering her stuffed backpack to the ground.

Dixie had FINALLY found Cassopeia-er, Cass? Or did the girl prefer Cassi? Or Bass Cass? Or what? Heading up the stairs, she brought her napkin, as Cassopeia/Cass/Cassi/Cass Bass had instructed her to. Hearing her name called, she shouted "Hi, yes, it's me!"
Perhaps she could start her collection of Chocolate Frog Cards, and give Cassopeia/Cass/Cassi/Cass Bass her Reg Cattermole card.
And she might also make a new friend.

"Yo Dixayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Mixie," said Cass in high spirits.
She held her hand out to the pile of 400 boxes of unopened chocolate frogs. "You ready?"
She wiped the chocolate off her lips. She grinned gingerly, "I may have started the search a little early.."

Dixie laughed, sitting down. "Dixie Mixie? Well, I like it better than Pixie." she raised an eyebrow at the chocolate smeared on Cassopeia/Cassi/Cass Bass/ Cass lips.
Then again, with all the chocolate frog cards around, who could resist the temptation? She was having trouble not just grabbing twenty of them and running off, laughing evilly.
Shaking that wonderful ymthought from her head, she asked "Reg Cattermole, right?"

Cass saw the look in Dixie's round eyes as she stared longingly at the boxes of froggish chocolate, "By the way, if you feel the temptation of running away evily and having a few, be my guest- I'm more than happy to get rid of these infernal things." She grinned. More trouble than they're worse.
"Yep. Reg Cattermole. The unsung hero of the Ministry of Magic. He's brilliant. You looking for anybody?"

Dixie frowned. Had this girl just read her mind? Shaking that disturbing thought from her head, she smiled and said "Well, I have never had a chocolate frog before. So I guess I'm just starting my collection. Exactly how many cards do you have?" she asked, pushing her glasses up her nose, and looked around at the packets, wondering exactly how many she might be able to eat without getting sick-which wasn't really exactly on her list, but, at least she might be able to find her 'limit'.

Cass blushed when Dixie frowned- was it something she said?
"I've more or less got fifty Dumbledores, and I think I have pretty much all of the cards but Reg Cattermole, and a few other rare ones. So you a muggleborn? 'Cos the Chocolate Frogs kind of surprise you your first time."
Cass grinned when she bit the head off the frog and saw the card underneath. Malfalda Hopkirk. Nice.

Dixie looked over at Cassopeia/Cassi/Cass/Cass Bass card. "Malfalda Hopkirk? That's an interesting name." Noticing her friends blush, she asked "What's wrong? Did I offend you or something?"
Opening a packet herself, she blinked when she saw a chocolate froggie, who blinked back at her. "Woah. Er, now I feel sort of weird, eating a chocolate frog that's 'alive'."
Shrugging her shoulders, she bit it's head, and found a card. "Ron Weasley. Sounds familiar."

"No, no!" she replied hastily, "I thought I had you."
Cass laughed kindly at Dixie's surprise when the frog jumped out of the box.
"Yeah! Ron Weasley! He was Harry Potter's best friend at Hogwarts. Infact, we found his car in the forest that they used to get to Hogwarts one year. Her names Elise." she added, nodding.
"You want a collection? You can start with these, if you like," she said, offering Dixie Malfalda Hopkirk and a newly opened Gilderoy Lockhart. "Bleugh, Lockhart went down the rails. He went into St. Mungos after he went psycho... it was bound to happen. He was talking to banshees, after all."

Dixie frowned at the wizard whose smile was to white and his eyes that practically screamed 'Contacts!!' "If he went completely bonkers, then why is he on the card? I mean, a guy who is in St. Mungo's and talks to banshees?" She giggled a little at the idea of the guy talking to lamps or something.
"Wait-you found the car? Tsk tsk tsp, has somebody been in the Forbidden Forest?" she wiggled her eyebrows and opened a with Gregory the Smarmy.

"Apparantly he still signs his fan mail, and can do joined up writing," said Cass amused. "Back in his day he was known to be a skilled duelist against monsters. His madness isn't that important, just inevitable," Cass showed a cheeky smile. "We may have done..."
"Yay, Gregory! Keep your eye on him when he stretches... it's hilarious."
Cass put the next card rejects (Ollivander and Alastor Moody) next to Dixie's growing pile of her own cards.

Dixie chuckled and glanced at the other three cards. Alastor Moody. The guy looked a bit creepy, though she supposed that his revolving eye might tend to add to that effect. Ollivander, the Wandmaker, looked a bit aloof, and-transparent. "I wonder what it takes to get on one of these cards. Do you got to be famous, or if you achieve some heroic feat or something."
She ate another one, and was starting to feel a bit-sick.
Setting down Uric the Oddball in her pile, she wondered about the weather.

Cass hated the Alastor Moody cards- the eyes always swivelled around in the socket. She couldn't imagine standing next to him.
"I think you've got to have done something to be recognised as famous," Cass agreed.
Cass felt a little queasy, and put the half eaten frog down. The headless frog Ribbited and then hopped away.

Dixie raised her eyebrow, and out of the corner of her eye, saw a certain blue eye swiveling around in it's socket. A bit creeped out, she thought about Cassopeia/Cassi/Cass/Cass Bass's joke. "Er... Three?" she guessed, wondering where this girl had gotten the question. It sounded like one that some of her friends might tell on their school playground or something.
Noticing the headless frog leap away, she began to wonder if sending her brother one through the mail might just freak him out..
Shewould definitely try it!

"One to screw the light bulb and four to say with their fathers connection at the ministry they could screw it faster. Meh, I thought it would be funnier," shrugged Cass.
She patted her stomach. "Yeah, I think I'm finished now. Otherwise I'm going to be sick- and I'm not going to the Hospital Beds," she shuddered.

Dixie chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, I think that I'm done for the day too. Collecting the wrappers, she looked in her tote bag for something that resembled a plastic bag-and found one she had used for storage of her Exploding Snap cards. She then picked up her little pile of chocolate frog cards and smiles at Cass. "Thanks for sharing with me, it was really nice of you. Hey," she joked, "Can I call you Casserole? It's sort of a combo of Cattermole and Cassopeia. Unless, of course," she added, "You aren't a fan of casseroles."

"That is probably the best nickname I've ever had. I love it!" she cried, scooping Dixie into a hug, taking care not to crush her glasses. "I love casseroles that little bit more now. Anyway, I'll leave you to sleep, Dixie, catcha later!"

Laughing, Dixie was surprised at how much strength this girl had. Struggling to breathe, she gasped "Your(gasp) welcome(choke, cough) Casserole(breathes in, but seems like through a tube)"
She mentally made a plan the next time the girl hugged her: run.

Cass resumed back to her pile of Chocolate frogs- they really needed chipping away.
She decided that whoever passed by next would be dragged into helping her find this card. 407 left. And one of those, she knew would be THE CARD.

Bored, Dixie wandered around the castle, until she heard the crinkle of a wrapper coming from one of the towers. Curious, she saw Casserole seated, gazing at what had to be at least four hundred packets of chocolate frog cards. "Hey Casserole!" Dixie chirped.

Cass fake sighed, "back again to decimate the masses of the amphibian population?" thinking of how they were in the tower last time. Dixie had gained quite the card collection. She was glad to see her- she looked glowing today. Maybe that was just the light. Heh.

Grinning, Dixie said happily "Yup, I'm here to depilate or whatever you just said about the eating of ze froggies" she finished off.
Looking around, she asked "Are you still looking for Reg Cattermeal? Cause I forgot..."

Cass roared thunderously,"CatterMOLE!"
Showing she was joking, she tapped Dixie Wixie on the nose.
"Yup, still looking for him," she said inbetween bites.
She silently slid a Salazar Slytherin card to her.

Dixie blinked. Casserole now was classified under her crazy category, right beside her, though she was thinking about making a speical category, just for Casserole. "Oh, well alright then... Ooo, look what I got! This dude named Voldemort-hey, he's bald!" she declared, laughing. For some reason, bald people always made her laugh.

Cass gasped, when she dismissed Voldemort as-
She doubled up over when she saw past the fear of ol' Voldie.
Cassopeia Marling had never noticed in her eleven years of life that Voldemort was indeed bald. "Nice call, there Dixie. Not a sprout of hair poking through," she said, smirking. She had more than enough hair on her head. A willing wig maker for Voldermort, anyone?
