Interhouse Party

Theresa skipped to the Room of Requirements, after ages of planning, they were finally doing it. She walked past the area of wall three times before the door appeared.

She looked in and grinned when she saw a pit of beanbag chairs, one similar to the HoA. There was what looked like a disco with a disco ball on the left.
There were two tables at the back full of muggle and magical junk food and what looked to be a few muggle fountain pop dispensers.
She closed her eyes and thought about what Hilary said and grinned when she saw a large trampoline in the corner. There was music playing but it low enough to hear everything. She sat in one of the beanbag chairs and waited for people to arrive.
She was glad that her and Hilary had planned this, it was going to hopefully calm people down after such a stressful week.

Lauren walked into the room of requirement and was blown away by all the decorations and such. She loved the fact that the room of requirement enabled them to have whatever they wanted. That was so cool!

"This looks brilliant, Resa!" Lauren said, smiling as she continued to look around. "So, who's coming to this little shindig? It should be good night!"

Theresa grinned when she saw Lauren, she jumped up from the chair. Her dragon ears and tail showing as she walked up to her. "Hey Lauren, I owled practically everyone, should be fun if people show up" she said. She looked around "the muggle stuff was Hilary, I have no idea what that drink thing is" she said, gesturing to the pop fountain dispensure.

Hilary headed up to the Room of Requirement. She was excited. After all the talking they had done about the party, it was bound to be good. Even if no one showed up, they still had tonnes of music, good music and....

Her eyes wandered over to the corner, where she saw the trampoline she had asked for. She let out a squeal of excitement and raced over, forgetting about her costume completely. And pulled off her shoes and climbed up, trying to jump as high as she could.

"This is awesome, Resa!"

Theresa laughed at Hilary "I couldnt forget what you asked for" she said as she watched her bounce. She smiled, who would have thought of such a thing as a trampoline, sure it was fun but it was a strange idea to randomly come up with. She turned to Lauren "and just where is your costume Lady Lauren, werent brave enough I see?" she teased.

Harmony wandered in, snickering in her costume. She had to admit, the robe was rather big, and she did charm her sunglasses to be half-moon spectacles, and the large white beard was rather...itchy, but it was totally worth it.

"Guess who I am!" She exclaimed, closing the door behind her.

Hilary jumped down off of the trampoline. She was out of breath, really wanted a drink from that lovely looking fountain pop dispenser, and wanted to get into costume as well. She quickly asked the room for a costume, and was happy to see a vampire costume, complete with a tube of fake blood, appear next to her.

She looked over at Harmony after she had gotten into costume, who had just arrived. "Are you Merlin?" she asked, remembering the book her sister had had when she was younger.

Theresa looked up and laughed as she saw the costume.
"That is briliant, is it Albus Dumbledore?" she asked, it was definately a realistic and original costume, it was some wizard. "Glad you could come" she said once she could control her laughter. Now that she wasn't the only one without a costume and wasnt going to kill Lauren and Hilary for not wearing any when it was Hilary's idea, she put her dragon nose, that matched herdragon ears and tail, on.

"Yes! I am the great and powerful light Wizard known as Albus Dumbledore. Only, I'm not exactly powerful right now..." Harmony said trailing off, grinning at Theresa. "Parties are my thing. Nice dragon costume. One of my favorite creatures. And I'm glad you think my costume is brilliant."

Theresa laughed slightly "thanks, I guess me and you are braver then this Ravenclaw and so called Gryffindor" she joked. She looked down at her costume and smiled "Dragons are one of my favourite creatures too, they are amasing and it is so cool how free they are and are such a mystery really" she said.

"Hey!" Hilary said, hearing Resa's comment about the costumes. "I'm in costume now." She gestured down to her newly aquired cape and shoved the vampire teeth into her mouth. "I'm a vampire!"

"Your costume is pretty awesome," she said, turning to Harmony. She had definitely picked out an interesting costume.

"Do we know of any more people coming?" she wondered. "Or is this it?"

Theresa grinned at Hilary "scary" she said jokingly. She shrugged at her question "I sent out owls so if anyone comes then great but for now.... please tell me how this muggle pop fountain thing works" she said excitedly as she skipped to the muggle mashine, it looked cool and just so... muggle.

"Well, I wasn't going for scary," she said with a shrug. "I just wanted to be a vampire for a while."

She headed over to the fountain pop dispenser and pointed to the pictures of the different types of pop. "You put your glass underneath the picture of the kind you want, and then you press the button. The pop comes out that thing there." She pointed to the small nozzle on the bottom of the pictures.

Theresa stared at it in silence for a moment before grinning "muggles are so strange, wouldnt it be easier to just pour the drink" she sad, shaking her head as she tried it. She raised an eyebrow when it suddenly made a buzzing noise. Just pouring a drink would be more quiet too.

Harmony looked over at what Theresa was using, quite confused. She was a little put out since she was a pureblood, and she didn't know how to use much of Muggle technology. She poked at the odd thing.

"Er...do you think you could help me?" She asked quietly, poking at the thing once more. "This is rather...odd."

Theresa nodded "yeah, muggles are so strange" she said before she looked for the cups Hilary showed her. She passed one to her and put another one under one of the nuzzles "ok, we put the cup under one of these weird looking things and press the button above it" she said, surprised she actually remembered as pop was poured into the cup.

Harmony nodded and grabbed a cup, doing as Theresa instructed.

"Okay, so...what flavors do we have here then?" She asked curiously.

Muggles were strange indeed, and Harmony wondered if she would ever understand them. Probably not, she decided.

"So you just press it like you're doing then? Seems...simple enough." She said.

"Yeah, this one says 'pepsi', whatever that is, this one is 'fanta', then there is 'coke' and this last one is 'dr pepper'" she said as she pointed to each one. She wondered why they are named so strangely, she had never heard of any of them before. She tried the one that was called pepsi and smiled "this stuff is actually nice" she said, surprised that it didn't kill her or something.

Shelby entered the Room of Requirement in delight. She had just gotten her owl invitation from Resa and she was so glad that her parents had sent her the package she'd wanted earlier that day.

"Greetings Ladies," she twirled around in her princess costume, which consisted of a tiara, elbow length pink gloves, and a pink, poofy ball gown.

She spotted Harmony in her costume and laughed. What a brilliant costume! "Hello Mr Dumbledore," she said with a curtsey. "It is an honor to meet you," she giggled.

Harmony placed her cup down and pushed the Dr. Pepper one. She jumped back when the pop came out and landed in her cup. After the initial shock, she pressed the button again and filled her cup more than half way before taking it back into her hand. She took a sip of the pop.

"The machine is strange," she concluded. "but the pop is good."

She smiled over at Shelby. "Why hello there, Princess Shelby. An honor to meet you as well." She said, stroking her white beard before laughing.

Theresa turned around and grinned "greetings Princess Shelby" she said, pretending to curtsy as she put her cup down. "Your right, that is the last time I trust muggle things, it sounds like it growls when you try and get a drink" she said to Harmony. She pulled up her dragon nose and took another sip of her drink before putting it back down.

"Lady Theresa, when you talked to me earlier you said nothing about this being a costume party," Shelby pretended to scold Theresa. "You're just lucky that my tiara got here today," she stuck her tongue out in a very unladylike manner. "I mean, what good is being a princess if you don't have a tiara?"

Theresa shrugged "It was Hilary's last minute idea Princess, it is more fun though and might I say, what kind of princess sticks her tongue out at people?" she asked teasingly before she put her dragon nose back on. Trying to look as fearsome as she could possibly be in her costume, she was after all, a dragon.

Shelby stuck her tongue out again in response. "Princesses can do whatever they please," she said in a regal voice before bursting into laughter.

"I am really glad that you guys decided to do a costume party, though. It gives me a chance to wear the tiara without people either thinking I'm crazy or that I'm being punished by Professor Williams," Shelby vividly remembered Will's sparkly jewelry.

Theresa laughed "yea, it is fun and it gives me the chance to dress up like a chinese fireball which is so what Shasta is going to be" she said.
"And don't worry, we all know your crazy already" she teased before grinning. "If you two will excuse me, this is a great song" she said as she skipped to the mini disco side of the room and began to try and dance in her costume.
